Ze Shawl, she es done!!

Isn't it just gorgeous!? I love it. It's a shame it's going out tomorrow in the mail. But, she's a pretty lady on her way to a photo shoot on Thursday. They just grow up ..er knit up..so fast don't they?

This is a nice close up of the lace. I'll have a few pics later with her unpinned.

Ah yes, and you can't forget my pincushion. I made this from an awesome template found on craftzine.com. It's just the template for the outline (I used my own creativity when embroidering him).

Update:
Unpinned!!

Oh and I got tagged by Val. It's a birthday meme where you have to list three event, two births and one Holiday that share the same day as your birthday.

Events:
1564- Shakespeare was christened.

1865- Union cavalry troopers corner and shoot dead John Wilkes Booth, President Lincoln's assassin, in Virginia.

1962- NASA's Ranger 4 spacecraft crashes into the Moon.

Birthdays:

1962- Debra Wilson, American actress and comedian.

1963- Jet Li, Chinese martial artist.

Holidays:

World Intellectual Property Day (as of 2001)

This is actually pretty fun. If you want to try it..go to Wikipedia and type in the month and day of your birthday, omit year.

It's gorgeous. I can state honestly that I didn't know what all the fuss was about with your last post, but now she is gorgeous.

She is gorgeous!!! It will be hard to send her off to the photo shoot!

I love the pin cushion - especially the embroidery! I should get my girls to make some pin cushions this summer. What a fun project.

John Wilkes Boothe shot Lincoln on my birthday, April 14th. He didn't die until the next day though.

Wow! It's gorgeous in white! So delicate & "innocent" ..... I'm wondering how that pattern would look incorporated into a baby shawl. (I'll be a grandma again in January.) What do you think?
The pincushion is adorable too. Your embroidery is interesting. ;)
Congrats!

The shawl looks wonderful. I especially like the edge work.

Oh, how beautiful! I almost cast on your LDB scarf last night, but it has to wait a little longer. Maybe that's good though, because I just might knit the shawl instead! Hey, great pin cushion by the way!!! ;o)

Beautiful shawl!

re: your comment, I knit my FBS on #7's. There's about 440 yards per hank of Sea Silk, and I had to end a row early (in the edging) and do a tighter than I'd like bindoff. Dimensions came out same as the pattern, tho.
