That's right, it's Friday and I'm happy. This weekend means business for me though. I have two weeks to get another Olde World Shawl done. This time I need to make it longer for a model piece for a kit being sold by Plymouth.
This time it's in a blue (I kind of like this, it a steel blue/grey.)
Oh..and more yarn! This is a cotton/silk blend. I love the colors. I love the fuchsia color the most. They all go so well together.
Oh and here's an update on what I'm working on for Olive my daughter. Remember that hand dyed yarn I did a couple of months ago? Well, I decided to make them into socks for my daughter. I'm almost halfway done with the last sock. I'm determined that I won't be overwhelmed with knitting work that this won't become a SS!
I have to admit, I'm not a fan of the toe. I did a kitchener stitch on it, but it seems to be puckering up a little. I'm hoping that it comes out when I block it. If not, she'll have funky toes. :D

New Colors Have Arrived!
Here's some new Buckingham colors I got from Plymouth. The colors are gorgeous. I've honestly been waiting for a week to get these colors. I've literally had to chase the UPS guy around just to get my package though. Apparently the calling panel in the lobby of my apartment doesn't work so he decided to call me from the main office phone. I..being the irritable stay at home mom who doesn't like being disturbed with annoying anonymous callers during the day...thought that the number flashing on my caller I.D. was a telemarketer and picked up the phone and quickly hung up on him. So, he left a note to pick the package up at the office. Lo and Behold...it twas not there. Ugh. Did I feel like a boob. So, I had to wait until today to get it. (He actually skipped buzzing my apartment all together and just took it to the office.)

Spun Stitches Finished Skien
First off, here's something really really cute I got. I love it! I fell in love with it the moment I saw it. Would you like to know where I got it? My mom. Would you like to know where she got it?
No where...she made it! She had this adorable stack of painted wooden fluffy sheep sitting on her craft table (yes..this is where I get my crafty genes from :D) and I snatched one up. She's opening an etsy account soon and she'll be offering these adorable sheep as either magnets or ornaments. (I love them as magnets personally :D) So..if you're interested, please feel free to let me know by dropping me a line!
I also have been spinning like crazy lately. I've gotten the first skein of yarn spun for spun stitches. It's Merino/Merino;Silk plied together. This is about 263 yards. I have about...587 yards to go.
Believe me...I'll be really busy.
The colors are white and lichen green from Blue Goose Glen. It was spun and plied on a lace weight drop spindle whilst watching Unleashed. The fiber was two thumbs up..the movie..so so.
